Terms of use (draft)

These terms are between you and Uhuru AI (Pty) Ltd, which offers Selemo. They are written plainly; where something matters, it says so directly.

Who may use Selemo

Selemo is for adults: parents, guardians and the people they invite. Children do not use Selemo and may not be given an account.

Plans, the trial and payment

Every new household starts with a trial of Family that needs no card. After the trial, the household moves to Seedling Free unless a paid plan is chosen. Paid plans are charged in rand through Paystack, monthly or yearly, until cancelled. If a payment fails, Family stays on during a short grace period before the household moves to Seedling Free.

A plan change never deletes your records. You can always read, export and delete what you have recorded.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time in Settings. The plan stays on until the end of the period you paid for.

Your content

What you write and photograph stays yours. You give Selemo permission to store and process it only to provide the service to your household.

Selemo's content

The curriculum, stories, verses and artwork in Selemo are original to Selemo or used with permission, and are licensed to your household for teaching your own children. Please do not republish them.

Compliance guidance

Selemo is not a legal adviser. Its registration guidance, Education Plan and assessor pack follow a versioned rule set that is Selemo's own reading of the requirements. Check what your provincial department asks for before you apply. You remain responsible for your child's registration and education.

Safety

Outdoor suggestions come with safety rules, and some activities are held back by age, heat, UV or storms. They do not replace your own judgement. An adult supervises every activity, and stays within arm's reach of any child near water.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change in a way that matters, we will tell you by email before the change takes effect.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa, including the Consumer Protection Act where it applies.
